The Bishkek Daily Steingard has been Kyrgysztan's favourite newspaper for over 150 years. In that time we've experienced many incarnations of Truth, from the belabored idealism of the 1800s, to the exaltant boasting of Soviet occupation, to the languid sensationalism of today. Whatever the Truth was or needed to be, we were there to report it, either piercing or contributing to the cynical ignorance of the common man, according to the dictates of the times.
And today, as post-Soviet Kyrgysztan climbs steadily towards a dizzying zenith of intellectual grandeur, The Bishkek Daily Steingard is proud to outsource the Truth to the once great Americas, for easy viewing on your spigot or home computing device.
Is your local newspaper philosophical enough? The Daily Steingard is here to help.
The Bishkek Daily Steingard
July 31st, 1935
Though the Bishkek Daily Steingard has done well to disseminate the Truth from the darkest corners of political oppression, our reach has always been stifled by the limited mediums of language, ideology, and paper. Now, with the rapid uptake of the Pod Form by western culture, we are finally making significant ground on at least one of these pressing obstacles.
What is the Pod Form, you ask? Look in your pocket, or at the device currently displaying our newspaper. Does it make phone calls, or trim facial hair? Has it transformed your work flow, or revolutionized the way in which you communicate with others? Has it rendered the aging paradigms of our culture obsolete, forging the path for a global monoculture which encompasses and engenders every pre-existing culture in totality? With Spigot Technologies and The Daily Steingard, this is only the beginning.

Helmut Kravitz (1889-1975) was born to a shoe salesman and a poetess before his literary birth as Kyrgyzstan's favourite intellectual son. Although most of his work was repressed and destroyed before it reached the light of day, we imagine that he was one of the great minds of the last (or any century), and that his influence would have likely heralded a golden era for art and literature in our small but glorious nation.
The days of room-sized mainframe computers are long gone, and the days of Spigot are just beginning. Spigot Technologies proudly hosts and maintains The Bishkek Daily Steingard web servers (and affiliated content) from a single UltraSlim SpigotPak. The SpigotPak is the first product born from the mutually beneficial partnership between Spigot Technolgies and UltraSlims 300's, combining culture-shattering ingenuity with irresistably robust flavor. At a mere 17mm thick, the SpigotPak is slim enough to fit in your pocket, but powerful enough to record and archive the minutiae activity of your subconscious mental life in nearly real-time.
There are many faucets to your life.
But only one Spigot.

Future Stories
The mind of a psychopath, as revealed by television show based on an interpretation of his mind by a machine.

The Untold Spigot
Our Technology writer had a nervous breakdown, and now he's interested in ghosts or something.

The Future Critic
Apparently literature isn't just for books anymore. But really, Soviet video games?
